Build your own guitar! Now you have the opportunity to take a course at Nordwall Instrument.

• Private course for 1 person of approximately 100 hours, you don't have to share the workshop with other course participants, no waiting time and full focus on just you.
• Accommodation is included. Materials are also included.
• You choose which instrument you want to build from all Nordwall models. Both guitars and folk instruments.
• Possibility to design your own headstock shape, bridge shape and trussrodcover shape.

Mats Nordwall offers courses in instrument building in my workshop on Ingmarsö. The course is now 2 weeks long (including weekends) full-time, and only 1 person er course. The course fee also includes private accommodation in the guest cottage next to the workshop (meals are not included, however).
You have the opportunity to choose from all standard models that are included in my range and you manufacture your instrument according to the same process as all Nordwall instruments, i.e. from raw material to finished instrument. Surface treatment is done with a few layers of matt varnish or oil.
All materials required for the instrument are included in the course fee (standard materials; special options—such as higher-end hardware or master-grade timber—may in some cases be available at an additional cost). A case for the instrument is not included.
No prior knowledge is required to take the course, other than a strong interest in music and craftsmanship, an ability to listen to and absorb instructions, and a willingness to work hard and intensively for two weeks—eight hours a day (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM). I am on hand at all times to provide instruction for every step, answer questions about guitar making and other topics, and assist with the construction process if needed.

The course fee is 3.200 Euro/3.700 USD

When registering, you pay a registration fee of 450 Euro/500 USD (non-refundable) and the remaining amount must be paid before the start of the course.

Course dates are determined in consultation between the course participant and Nordwall Instrument.
